This is a participatory design workshop. I modularise the four facets of the dormitory room by dividing the floor height into three equal parts and then horizontally slicing them into several squares according to the distribution of cabinets, objects, and structures, creating a puzzle.

In the workshop, I created a game mode where classmates are divided into two teams. Team members must obtain the puzzle pieces they need from me within a set time. With their understanding of me and the resources they have, they re-assembled and re-designed my room. (The final judging session can be quite intense!)

Through the process of the game, this work allows both designers and users to experience what participatory design truly means. Apart from to what extent, as a designer, I "design" the release of power for others to participate, it's also a questioning of myself and a learning process to embrace intervention.
